A quick-paced spy novel that moves so fast, you don’t really have any time to get to know or become invested in the characters. All you want to know is what happens “that one night in July,” “what happened to Emma Blair,” and how Nick will prove himself innocent.

I definitely liked The Night Agent better. I haven’t read many books like Hour of the Assassin so it is hard for me to rate it. I liked the quick chapters and the pacing, but I had a hard time visualizing some of the action and I felt like the 50-75% mark was boring and the last 25% had a huge chunk of action. I don’t think the ending was super realistic but it was satisfying. I would probably read more books from this author but I should probably take them out of the library and not buy them if you know what I mean.

I thought this was a good quick read! It’s kind of like a murder mystery political thriller. I liked it. I don’t LOVE this genre but this one was a good read.
