What I learned from this book... unlike any other... is be careful what you ask for. And when you get it... Pay attention.
She wins the lottery and then she just assumed it would go on and on forever. But you have to be sure you can trust the people who you let manage your money. I also like the romance portion as both parties were insecure and unsettled. This book was a refreshing change from the same ol...

Very well written. I found myself really getting into the story. I felt frustrated by some of the ways she spent her money, but I was happy at the end when she lost her fortune but was able to sell off some of the extravagant things she purchased so she still came out with more than $30 million. I was rooting for her in her relationship with the famous movie star, and I'm glad he proposed to her at the end. I would've hated the novel if something else had happened!

Rosie, Cheeto and Abuela make for quite a trio after winning the megabucks lotto. It's a wild romp and had many funny and serious scenes too. This book was a quick read and I digested it completely. I loved Rosie's first trip to Tiffani's [sic] and her fantasy love. No spoiler here. Lets just say that it's always nice when what you ask for, you are glad you got it.
The money amazingly was also a character in the book. It's not easy to make that happen in my opinion. Usually it's a villain but in this book it's a character that works to make the principles become what they were supposed to be but fiscal circumstances disallowed.

I didn't feel overtly sorry or pitying for any of the characters. That's good. It would've made the book stink. Instead I felt invested in each characters development and was honestly aghast near the end of the boom because..... Ah, you must read it for yourself. Enjoy.

Oh... my feelings for this novel.

I promise you I am not a harsh reviewer at all, and it's truly super hard to give me a book that I'll truly hate. There was only one book on that list. Until this one. Oh my gosh, how I did not enjoy this book at all.

Not only was the plot super slow and generally just boring, it was frustrating to read how rude and snotty Rosie was. Also, Cheeto? Really? You can't honestly expect me to believe that a grown man is going to go by Cheeto? I don't know. I also just had a hard time believing that Rosie didn't have any idea how to deal with her financials? She was supposed to be poor and struggling prior to winning the lottery, literally living paycheck to paycheck and she somehow didn't have any grasp on how to handle her finances?

It seemed like she was a lot out of touch and it was so frustrating. The fact that nothing happened for literally the entire book until the last 50 pages was so infuriating. It felt like I was just going around in circles, listening to her inner monologue. Which, surprise, I didn't care about. Her grandmother was an actual useless character. And the ending??????? Literally what the heck. That last scene?

I truly never want to see this book again.

I never want to read another lottery story. This one was just cringe worthy and nauseating at times.
