Wow, What a ride!!
Reading this book doesn't make the leap about what is currently going on in our 2018 politics that difficult to believe. Would another country plan years in advance cultivating someone who may be used as an asset or can later be blackmailed probable? YES, they would. Great intrigue and suspense. Looking forward to the next adventure.

This book is a blast I love the authors style of conveying extra information but I do find it catching my attention which can certainly pull me out of the story the plot was good and it felt like a true spy thriller with good pacing and twists I look forward to reading more from this series and author

This book is airplane reading at most. Characters with no flaws, ill-fitting dialogue, few surprises, no real tension. At its very best it manages to be competent. I didn't hate it, but it is certainly no classic.
I am horrified by the number of 4- and 5-star reviews this has on Goodreads. Lesson learned: don't trust Amazon recommendations or random online reviews!

Edit: I just remembered maybe the worst piece of character development of all time, when a character named "Chris Pine" is described as looking like the actor Chris Pine. I wouldn't even put up with that kind of laziness in fanfiction!
