A great, weird, unique graphic novel for fans of Daniel Clowes and Charles Burns.

Maybe I'm out of touch. Or graphic novels just aren't for me. This just sounded so promising. Unfortunately, for me, there were too many story lines and we never really got a clear answer about the ending. I don't need it spelled out but, some sort of indication would be nice. Instead you get one illuminating image and that's it. I did enjoy it but, I wanted more. Maybe there should be a sequel!

Below are previous thoughts - may re-read this again someday
A slice of life where there is a murderer, a cult, and parents are gone, sound interesting right? Nope, nothing is ever explained. I really like the artwork in this story but everything else I felt was extremely lacking. ~Ashley

I really enjoyed this. Jaime Hernandez punky dropout milieu, Black Hole's teen creepiness, and perhaps a tiny bit of Hate's slacker-band dynamics. Not perfect, but very good at what it does.

Getting sucked into a little cult-y world this evening was fun.
I enjoyed this thoroughly, and it reminded me a lot of being an angsty punk teen. I never killed anyone and never knew anyone who did, but aside from that, it felt like remembering my teenage imagination.
Lots of fun, this.

I think even as a teenager, I was too old for this brand of teenage behavior, and in my thirties I am absolutely too old for it. The art is not my style, and the pages are a bit busy and overwhelming. And yet, somehow I liked this? It takes some strange turns that sometimes felt a little too abrupt, but I appreciated the weirdness mixed into the minutiae of teen life in a small town.
