Wow what a amazing book with the bad boy from the wrong side of the track and the rich girl that has it all.. Do you think you will have a chance at these two? This book has every emotion coming off the pages you feel like you are right their. This is a amazing series as I read the second book first but after reading this book I was able to put the story together very smoothly.. Ella has a wonderful writing style that will draw you in from the beginning and keep tell the very end.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Cyanide is my very first book by Ella Fields and I have to say I’m quite impressed.
Honestly, what made me want to read the book was its beautiful cover and I never actually bothered reading the blurb. Not knowing in what kind of story I was about to dive into I caught a free ride at an emotional roller coaster.

Jared is the perfect somewhat hot as hell bad boy with a motorbike, the panties melting smile and green eyes. Where he stands in life and what he build for himself and his brother is the result of hard work, staying down to earth and having a heart of gold.
Vera is the total opposite, although as well beautiful with blue eyes and a body to die for. Being raised in the beyond rich world she grew up being spoiled to death but not so much love as you wish every kid deserves (no matter from which side of the tracks).
Cyanide is the story about two worlds of soul mates colliding who couldn’t be more different from each other. Yes, I know. No new invention here, but with Ella’s captivating writing style and ability to show great character growth and development this story is something special.

I really like the chemistry between Jared and Vera and the way they influence each other, being oblivious to this fact. Jared shows Vera a whole new world and she somewhat realizes that this is all she ever wanted and that she needs to break free from her father’s grip and flee the golden cage she was trapped in her whole life. Vera learns through Jared what true happiness looks and feels like and what it means to love and being loved.

Vera is not a typical easy likable heroine but Ella managed somehow to make her easy to like. Might be that some of you will think different. Maybe I had no problems liking Vera because she is closer to me than I would think. However, all characters in this story felt so real to me because they are human. Yes Vera has it all but she also has her flaws and she knows. She works on that and really tries and succeeds with Jared’s help.

This book is really hot at times (hell, I once was too embarrassed reading a sex scene in public transport, so I simply closed the book, being afraid someone will look over my shoulder reading what I was reading – HAHA).
Cyanide will take you on a great roller coaster ride turning your emotions up and down. It was real fun reading this book following the unconventional couple on their way of finding true love and overcoming all obstacles thrown in their way.
Can’t wait to read the prequel “Frayed Silk” soon!

“To fall in love is to expose yourself to the worst danger imaginable; heartbreak.”

““Never judge a book by its cover, Hero. You never quite know what lurks within.” “Until you open it up and learn things you never guessed you would.””

“If you were a book, I’d read you, touch you, look at you every day and never get bored.”

“Loving Jared is akin to stepping outside on an overcast, rainy day, only to be surrounded by warm sunshine. Impossible. Surreal.”

The banter was fantastic. But I think I just wanted more from the H and I couldn’t stand the h at first but she grew on me in the end.

Angsty little romp that helped me stave off a book hangover from CC3. Didn’t love it, didn’t hate it but it got the job done. I think my biggest complaint was we didn’t get a POV from the MMC until the epilogue but I mean it’s basically a novella so I get why we didn’t. The groveling though was *chef’s kiss*

I knew I would love Jared's story more than Frayed Silk and I was so damn right. The angst that I was looking for from Frayed Silk is all over here and I was so happy reading this. Vera is that Ice Queen but Jared really melted her. So so happy for Jared because he doesn't deserve to be the second best since he's really a good man.

Ice Queen-Rich Girl Heroine and a Sunshine/Greasy Monkey/Street Urchin Hero.

JARED

After being super angry at the end of Frayed Sill, I’m just so happy that Jared got his Happy Ever After

I was told this book and Corrode can be read as stand alone but honestly you should read this book before Corrode but definitely read them both.
I was swooned honestly I really was delighted from the change of the Male MC having a ridiculous amount of money to sweep their women off their feet. These men come from a broken home, thrown in the system and hustle for their money. Jared doesn't have a pent house suite or fancy cars, hell even his tent is a hand me down but he is real and 100% through and through what you see is what you get.
Vera comes from money and can be spoiled but what I loved about her was she never thought her self to be better or above a hard working man. Yes she wasn't used to his way of life and who isn't going to think that a man picking you up off the side of the highway may or may not be a serial killer just because he rides a Harley lol. Jared is what Vera needed to break down her ice cold walls and show her what love really and she isn't alone.
