There is nothing to be gained here for those who enjoy the movie and/or tv series. Both adaptations took the conceptual scaffolding of these sexist and boring graphic novels and improved the plot, characters, and themes to make something engaging.

The character of Val is a complete joke. Why would you take a female character in a somewhat authoritative position and just throw her around as some sexualized object as soon as the protagonist shows up? I feel like every single thing she does involves her asking for permission from her dad or asking for sex from her arranged husband? Not cool.

Somewhat interesting story arc over the three volumes. Wouldn't have read as a novel but okay as a quicker graphic novel read.

Much more interesting than the first novel. But movie still better than both of these.

Snowpiercer Vol.2 is the second volume of the enthralling and thought-provoking post-apocalyptic graphic novel series that inspired the critically acclaimed movie starring Chris Evans (Captain America/Fantastic Four). Originally published in French, this marks the first time that Snowpiercer will be available in English.

In a harsh, uncompromisingly cold future where Earth has succumbed to treacherously low temperatures, the last remaining members of humanity travel on a train known as Snowpiercer while the outside world remains encased in ice.

The occupants aboard the Snowpiercer believed themselves to be the last humans alive, yet they soon learn that they are not alone. There is another train that could potentially spell destruction for the passengers of the Snowpiercer as it carves a trail through the endlessly freezing terrain.

This second train Big alice houses a small band of people that are willing to brave the relentless cold in search of the truth and discover what is left of the world by any means necessary.

Cold man, search for temperature where it is decreased and snow start melting and people are going in search of new Eden for life as they found some people who survived but under radiation. How the Wilfred wife survived the harsh winter by finding a survival of mouse under harsh conditions.

Like the first volume, this is more of a two and a half star rating for me, but I rounded up on this one because I liked it better out of the two. It still suffers from the problems that I had with the first volume, just not quite as bad. At least it was a quick read.

The artwork continues to be stellar and while the plot was a little better than the first, it wasn't enough to entice me to read the 3rd volume of the series.
