I read an earlier incarnation of this book in High School, and a couple of the short stories stuck in my head forever after. I won't tell you which ones. I knew it had been a Canadian author, but I couldn't remember his name. When I heard about the release of this book, and heard the name of the author, I thought, could it be? Lo and behold, it was. Best news of all, the stories have stood the test of time. They hold up. One in particular remains one of my faves of all time. Short science fiction at its best, and all the better for being Canadian.
