"This book is a dictionary with a single entry. It is the search for a word that does not exist in my language--the word for a parent who has watched his child die." A memoir from father losing his baby son to cancer. You know what the ending is going to be from the first page, but somehow you still have hope that the brutal inevitability of Pablo's death will somehow be overcome. I wish I could read this in the original Spanish, though it's a beautiful translation. Heart-rending.
