I loved this book. I have long loved Greek mythology, and this book was a fun way to revisit some of the myths. I found it to be thoughtful, and beautifully written, and the illustrations were perfect companions to the poems. The author choose each word and line carefully to make these dual perspectives come to life. It's amazing how just a few slight punctuation changes, or line breaks can completely change the meaning of a poem!

This book would be a really cool accompaniment to a unit on Greek myths, or a unit on poetry. Reverse poems can be really tricky to write and also to understand, but loved the illustrations and poems found in this text!

Impression: Very creative book, with great art work illustrations.

I suggest readers familiarize themselves with Greek mythology prior to reading, as it will likely resonate more. The author did provide a snippet of information in the lower margin, which gave some degree of background on each entry. I, myself, totally appreciated the reverso impact. Well done.

I’m always so impressed by Singer’s reverso collections. It is a very challenging form and they work so well from the different perspectives. I hope she keeps writing more collections, especially with mythology.

Clever but sometimes clunky poems. Does pair nicely with reading Greek myths.

Reverso poetry is so fascinating to me! This is such a nice book of simple poetry to briefly explain some of the Greek Myths.

This book is great for an introductory into Greek mythology and for reverso poems. It has great pictures that can help with understanding and wonderful words to describe the myth. Most of these myths are not the typical Greek myths that people tend to hear.

Great choice for my hundredth book of the year (if I've counted correctly). I am in awe of Singer's ability to create these double poems; I'd have difficulty writing ones so eloquent in just one directions. The illustrations are just gorgeous; even without the poems, they are so fascinating. I especially liked the Gods/Mortals pairing, and Daedalus/Icarus.

I had never read any reverso poems before. Very cool!
