Yeesh...I felt like I was reading some weird romance written by a child...I was bored and expected so much more from an assassin novel...I am officially stating C.J. is a one hit wonder for me with the Glass and Steele series!

The first third of the book was painfully slow, and I never really warmed up to the idea of an assassin hero, but I loved Susanna. She was smart, passionate, and sensual.

I so wanted to enjoy this book. However, it felt like it had elements from several different genres that just don’t work together.
It was tough to get through and was not as good as other books by this author.

Cheesy dialog and honestly questionable decision making by everyone in the book.  Overall a fun read though.

I liked the story and the characters. I especially liked how once Susanna found out Orlando was lying to her she threw him out & even though she forgave him and let him back in the house she didn't tumble straight back into his arms because she had legitimate trust issues. And I liked how Orlando was determined to protect her and make her happy whether she forgave him or not.
