I had so much hope for this series. I would give Wicked a 4 star rating, Son of a Witch 3 stars and A Lion Among Men 2 stars. I got through about 1/3 of A Lion Among Men before I finally had to give up to keep my sanity. I hate abandoning a series 3/4 of the way through, but I couldn't keep trudging along. I don't think my reading preferences mesh well enough with Maguire's writing style. Sad to say, I probably won't be reading any more of his novels.
