This book was really weird. You get some backstory on our main character, his involvement in criminal activities, mainly stealing, and how he gets involved in a gang . The end I just don't really get . There is a lot going on this short book, I think I'll be thinking about it for a while.

Crime-wise, this book was not my cup of tea because it was not good enough. However, story-wise it was pretty good because it succeeded in delivering a meaningful story. I was fine with the open ending but it was not enough to leave any mark in my memory.

very good but WAY to short imo. really enjoyed the ending and the relationship with the boy :)

It ended rather abruptly, but I enjoyed it while it lasted. Felt almost like a novella rather than a full length novel. I wish that this was the first of two parts.

Loved the last novel I read by this author. Hated this one. That's how it goes sometimes. Super fast read, but had to ask myself what was the point?
I didn't find one. I don't mean to be harsh, but damn...it just felt like a pointless book.
Oh and every other page is "I lit a cigarette. I considered having a cigarette. I had two cigarettes before, etc." We get it. People smoke. Sometimes a lot.

Nggak tau mau ngulas apa, selain buku ini mbingungin.
Aku lebih suka plot di sini daripada My Annihilation, sih; aku paham ada pesan filosofis yang ingin disampaikan penulis terkait eksistensi dan menjadi terikat dengan eksistensi itu sendiri, padahal mengetahui bahwa harus melepaskan ketika udah berada di situasi yang mengimpit. Narator kita merupakan seorang pencuri yang terlibat dalam skema kejahatan yang βmaju kena, mundur kenaβ bagi dia, tapi dia mengikat diri ke manusia-manusia lain di hidupnya.
Nothing really happened, no depth in characters, idk β¦ kek kurang sedep aja eksekusi buku ini. karakter sampingan di sini LITERALLY jadi sampingan aja, nggak nge-boost apapun buat storyline, bahkan karakter yang diinget terus sama narator (must be important to him, right?). Padahal ekspektasiku sempat naik ketika ada bagian yang nyeritain salah satu "orang penting"-nya narator.
