Graham Norton has been my favorite talk show host for quite a few years now, so I don't know how I didn't stumble across this book sooner! His life is put into perspective all the while being humorous and light-hearted.
It's always interesting to read an autobiograpy by someone famous, but even more so when they don't consider themselves to be as such.
This book made me laugh a numerous amount of times, made me sympathize, and -gasp- made me cry! Norton balances all of these elements very well, I must admit.
I would definitely read this book again and recommend it to anybody who wants a good laugh!

I really enjoyed this.I ordered it after reading Graham's debut novel last year & seeing him at a book fair where he was great fun so thought I'd give this a go.Definitely a no holds barred autobiography ,very funny and very human with all the ups & downs of his life & loves.Couldn't put it down once I'd started it.

as with my rating of alan carr's book, the number of stars does not reflect my opinion of the person. i find graham norton as charming and funny and fabulous as i ever did. i thought his book was candid and enjoyable and decently written. but the truth of the matter is that the life of a comedian doesn't make for the most compelling read.

i already loved graham norton, but i love him even more after finishing this book. he's had a very interesting life! i laughed, i cried, i cringed. haha
when reading this you can tell that he is such a genuine person, and he's quite candid about some things i'm sure he'd rather forget. and yes, he name-drops a lot, but it never feels desperate.
i hope he comes out with another one soon!

I really enjoyed this book, Graham tells us all about his life without becoming boring at all. Some nice pictures.

I could go in depth about how the writing isn't great, the "plot" meanders and skips things and grammar is questionable but lets be honest: people do not read these kinds of books for their literary merits. There usually are none. No, I read this book because I like Graham Norton, adore his show and knew nothing about him as a person.
Well, this definitely delivers. All the sordid details of his past, including an almost-time as a rent boy, failed relationships and steamy hookups, celebrity gossip and his personal opinions on a lot of random things.
He's been stabbed (no, literally - in a mugging. With a knife.) accidentally had his appendix out, spent christmas with his mother at Sharon Stone's place - ohh, no, I won't ruin it for you.
It's not the best celebrity memoir/biography I've ever read. It's not the most in depth, the best written, the shortest, the longest. But it does what it was intended to do: gives insight into the life and mind of the funniest chat-show host in Britain.

I've read a few memories (some being Rob Lowe, Dawn French, Stephen Fry, Malala Yousafzai, Jim Gaffigan, Nujood Ali, Melissa Francis, John Barrowman)and have enjoyed reading them.
I love Graham Norton. I love his chat show and thought he was great hosting I'd Do Anything. I wish I LOVED his book. I almost did. I think the reason is that it is not very deep. There are moments it almost gets there but then he pulls back. The only time he really goes all in is when he shares about his father's death.
After reading So Me I get the impression that the Graham we see on TV is the real him and he isn't playing a part, he is who is and I like that.
Over all interesting and entertaining even if slightly sugar coated.
Oh, there is a lot of wanking in the pages of this book so be forewarned.
