Game Changer is the 2nd book in the Alterations Trilogy by Jane Suen, following Alterations. It should be read as a continuation of book 1, and would not do well as a stand alone. Jane Suen has an amazing imagination and her characters are always thrilling. It is a sci-fi Divergent style book, of mind and body altering technology. The first book drew me in from the description, and I wanted to continue the series to see what happens next. Similar to the first book, each chapter follows a different character, and seems to jump around, in individual story lines. These stories are always hard for me, as I have a hard time identifying with each character, as there is so little time spent with them at a time.
So this story follows the characters roughly a year or two after book one, and we see how they are managing after their life is altered in book one. Dr. Kite, after his lab is destroyed, is trying to rebuild his life. Gigi trying to find and hold onto true love. Ellen, who has a baby now, is trying to maintain her weight. And Lilly, who has started a new business. Its time to see if they are happy with their decision as life goes on. Cant wait to see what book 3 will bring.

Game Changer by Jane Suen is the second book in the Alterations series. I recommend reading the first book first in order to get the full impact of what is going on in the story. This book picks up after the first and continues the stories of the nefarious Dr. Kite and the three women whose lives he changed. I enjoyed getting more in the story of Gigi, Lilly, and Ellen. I continued to hope the best for the women and that they would recover from their experiences with Dr. Kite. This book is again full of suspense and mystery. I wanted to know where the story was going and am curious as to where the last book in the trilogy will take their experiences.

I loved book 1 in this series, it was so different to anything I had read so I couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next. I loved that each chapter again was short and to the point and that we got to see how each character was getting on. I had a feeling that there were going to be a few twists and turns in the story and I was right! I had no idea what was going to happen and the author kept me guessing the whole way through. The author’s unique writing style is really engaging, you don’t get bored with long chapters, everything moves at a good pace and my interest was kept all the way through. I love the girls in the story and enjoyed reading about their lives after the implants but the character who I love reading about the most is Dr Kite! His chapters are the shortest but he is the most intriguing! I can’t wait for book 3 to see what finally happens in the lives of these characters!!

Game Changer is the second book in the Alterations Trilogy. This story was amazing. I really liked the past of this story. We had our characters from the previous story, Gigi, Ellen, Lily and Dr. Kite. I loved how Jane Suen wrote the characters with such love and passion. I personally like to watch characters grow with in a series. There have been choices made but will it bring them the end result they were looking for? Also what has Dr. Kite been up to all this time? I cannot wait to see what is in store for all the characters.

This is the second book in this series but my favorite of the two. I enjoy how this author's writing style is unique, she keeps things interesting and engaging even though her books are short. In this installment the three characters are on a self discovery journey in search of happiness. These three are relateable and connectable. They are separate but yet brought together in friendship. I highy recommend this book.

This story is about the same three women from Alterations, book 1. Lilly, Ellen, and Gigi. Of course, Dr. Kite is here too. This story follows the women after they received their “alterations” from Dr. Kite in book one, and the side effects they experienced. More life changes for the women but there seems to be an under lying motive for one of the women in this book. The women use their experience with Dr. Kite to better their lives.

Suen’s writing is easy to read and easy to follow. This story has a more modern time feel to it, unlike the first book, which I felt was futuristic. The women characters are determined to find their happiness despite how they feel about Dr. Kite. Dr. Kite’s character goes through his own changes, but I don’t think the changes are good. I am looking forward to seeing where Suen takes these characters in the final book of this trilogy.

I definitely recommend this book, but only after reading book one.

Game Changer is the second book in the Alterations series by Jane Suen. This is a very quick and easy read, full of suspense, drama, and some science fiction elements.
We met Ellen, Gigi, Lilly, and Dr. Kite in the previous book, and catch up with them again in this story just after the events of book one. After the fire destroyed Dr. Kite’s research, it seemed that all his hopes went up in flames. But, was everything destroyed? Is there a chance that he may be able to resurrect his implant experimentation?
Each of the women appear to be going from strength to strength- but I feel that there is a lot more to this story than meets the eye. But with some getting up to their old tricks, and others plotting revenge, this story had me avidly reading, trying to keep up and find out what was happening.
This was an interesting and thought-provoking story, and as with the first book, the plot was quite complex for such a short story. The story is told from several points of view, and I feel that maybe this detracted just a little from the overall storyline, especially considering the length of the book. I fell it would have worked a lot better in a longer novel.
The story is quite a unique concept and an enjoyable read. The story is set to continue in the next book, and the way it’s shaping up it has the potential to be amazing!

Thank you, Ms. Suen!

Game Changer: Book 2 of the Alterations Trilogy by Jane Suen

I LOVED this book, but that's not a surprise because I love every one of this authors books. I've read them all and can not wait for the next.

I wasn't even aware that there was another book coming after Alterations and when I saw it and then saw that its a trilogy??? This author writes in a way that when you pick her books up you have no idea what you may be in for. Every one of them are different and this to me is awesome!!

This story carried on from the first, the 3 ladies that Dr. Kite “helped” have now started moving on with their lives, and each one dealing with their own good and bad.

Dr. Kite is again up to something, and I loved reading his parts of this story.. I don't know why he fascinates me so much but he does...Would I trust him if he showed up at my door? Ehhh, maybe to an extent.

Bring on the 3rd!! I can't wait...This author has a style all her own and she is an immediate one click for me.

Loved it!!

Game Changer is the second book of the Alterations Trilogy by Jane Suen and is a sci fi  story of sorts. It is a very quick read, the same as the first but it holds you from start to  finish. This book picks up where the first book left off and carries on in the same vein  but has an under current of mystery and feels a tad sinister. As there is multiple  characters with a story, reading the first book is essential or you will not know what is  going on. The story is told in multiple POV’s so it gives an insight into each characters  life. As this is a trilogy I expect everything that is coming will end in an explosive way.  Looking forward to see what Jane has left in store for our characters.
