Got very uncomfortable with the narrator’s descriptions of Ada. Not a point about intent, regardless of it I didn’t really want to continue reading.

Nothing happened — or perhaps everything happened, and his destiny simply forked at that instant, as it probably does sometimes at night, especially in a strange bed, at stages of great happiness or great desolation, when we happen to die in our sleep, but continue our normal existence, with no perceptible break in the faked serialization, on the following, neatly prepared morning, with a spurious past discreetly but firmly attached behind.

Ada, or Ardor is funny and enjoyable; however, it took forever to read. I spent 12-days with this book, which is 9-days more than I cared to have had. The language that Nabokov uses was rather confusing in the first three chapters; I had no clue what was going on, as the language was far too intelligent for me. Once the story got going, the language did become easier to understand, although there was a whole chapter, later on, dedicated to time and space, which was confusing. All that said, for a book about incest it was a fun read, and if you like Lolita, you'll likely enjoy Ada, or Ardor.
