This was a fun series of vignettes. I liked how each person's/couple's story entwined with the others.

BRILLIANTIFIC. This book was just that. Jasper Lane...Man, what a place. I loved that in Jasper Lane what you think you know from watching the world go by from your front lawn, is NEVER EVER what it seems.

This book was smart, witty and had quite the bite. This was not silly humor, oh no no, Eric Arvin was saying something with this story. The good old people of Jasper Lane seemed grotesque, overblown and scathing, and not just the Right Wing Nutties, there was absurdity and pettiness in everyone.

This book reminded me A LOT of the characters in American Beauty with a serious twist of Desperate Housewives...The delusions boredom produces, the ability people have to drown in trivialities...That is just a little taste of what Mr. Arvin mixed in the Jasper Lane 'Crazytini'...So many tremendously engaging and disturbing characters. Fine character driven writing here.

And with all that this book was FUN, I laughed out loud, cringed, sneered and felt like Arvin might have been flipping me off a few times .But I loved it all!!!

This man has a mind for writing...It is not every author that can give you something sobering to think about whilst having you laugh your ass off.

I'm loving my time in Jasper Lane...Suburbiliscious is next :O)
