It was a very fun thriller, and I would rate it higher but I had a bit of trouble with the story’s antagonists. They seemed so interesting and while their villainous intent is fairly obvious early on, I wanted a bit more complexity in their motivations besides

Just as horrifying as the film (which I'd seen first and is in my top of the top scariest horror movies of all time), which Polanski adapted so faithfully it's near verbatim. Both work, so I don't mind.

It took all I had to finish this book. I understood it was supposed to be dark and scary, but I just found it aggravatingly slow and uninspiring. I was sure it would end dramatically but nope, it just stopped when it felt like there should have been more. Glad it's over.
