What a fun read! I really enjoyed getting into this book! A new world to learn about, all focused around sailing the seas. The story is really quick paced and I loved so much. There's a wonderful, rag tag crew sailing a ship and a lonely, headstrong girl looking for a family and home. All of the relationship dynamics were really interesting in this story too, I kept thinking things would go one way and they would make a different turn and it was all a pleasant surprise! Excited to start reading the next book.

 I wasn't expecting that end!

I do wish there was a bit more character development vs. plot development but I'm sure it'll get there!

After being abandoned to an island by her father, Fable has to grow up and quickly if she wants to survive. After years of diving in the sea, she earns enough money to escape the island on the ship of West, a trader with whom she has been trading the items she found at the bottom of the sea. However, when she meets her father after years, it's not like what she had expected. Now, she needs to grab her inheritance and figure out what to do next, but she doesn't know that her enemy is closer that she could have ever expected.

I'm curious to see what happens next to Fable, and if she can get her HEA with West.
