Even better than the first volume, this one follows two story lines and they are both awesome. One is focused primarily on Emi, which was a little irritating at first until it got awesome. She is worthy of her own series in my opinion. Once we got to the Green Arrow/Black Canary they were great too. My only complaint is that there was a rather drastic shift in artists halfway through the series. Both were good in their own way, but I like each story arc to have consistent artwork.

Knocked down the rating to 4 stars based on the first 1/3 of this graphic novel - it started out confusing with way too many jumps backward and forward in time, too many POV's

but

Once it settled down to the main story line on Scar Island it got back to what Green Arrow is - which is currently the best written super hero comic out there today (I won't compare it to other non-super hero comics like Paper Girls or Saga).

Story is well paced, well written with a conflicted, scarred hero.

No spoilers here about plot.
If you're not reading Green Arrow yet I think it's time for you to catch up on back issues because this is good stuff.

4 stars for me because this was a quick, FUN, action-packed read, which is mostly what I'm looking for when I grab big two comics. This isn't perfect (eh to the political statements, which are still less obvious than in the first installment), but the underwater train action scene deserves a star or two all to itself. I personally liked both Emi's storyline and the banter between Oliver and Dinah, but I get where people are coming from that they felt it took up too much page time. In many ways, this title is starting to read more like Team Arrow than solely Green Arrow, but I like the team dynamics and comic book banter.

I got this book as a Goodreads giveaway. I did read volume one and feel like it's a pretty good continuation. This trade is essentially three storylines. The first one picks up with Emi and Shado and also includes a flashback adventure with The Clock King. I found this section fun although not very plot heavy. The next section was Oliver, Dinah, and Digg washed up on an island. I enjoyed Oliver and Dinah's relationship the most in this arc. The last was the most action heavy with Oliver and the others trying to stop an assassin on a runaway train. I found the art the weakest for this arc. Overall, I found the lack of an uniting storyline made this feel like three filler stories.

I've always been a fan of GA, & I am happy to say that Rebirth GA is another model closer to the real one. While this book isn't yet to the level of King's Batman or Tomasi's Superman, the quality is steadily improving as it goes along. Certainly worth checking into if you are a fan of the character.

I enjoyed this volume of Green Arrow.

This continues where the first one leaves off. In this book he ends up having to deal with his half sister Emiko who wants to train with him. He has to deal with his love for the Black Canarie and a foe that will see the future of anyone he chooses.

This was a fun story. I really liked where the story goes and I like the characters. I am really enjoying reading this series. This is the first series of the Green Arrow and I am really glad that I picked this one up because I am really enjoying it.

I can't wait to continue in volume 3 to see what happens to Oliver Queen and friends and foes.

Weird. A lot of time jumps, storylines not explored, overall confusing.
