So many tears and such happiness and danger finally led to a beautiful HEA for Joaquin and Bailey. Can't wait for more in the series

Solid showing. Nice build from the last book and a nice tie-in to the characters and storyline. It’s been interesting to see how the author weaves the previous characters in but this one felt more like a sequel which was nice. The scientist story feels complete now.

Terrific plot, complex characters, and a wonderful way to wrap in so many of the characters we know and love from the other books. Terrific job! Loved it!

I must bow to the greatness that is Shayla Black! His to Take the 9th book in the Wicked Lovers series is one of my favorites of the series. Shayla pulled me into the book from the start and there was no turning back and no sleep until the book was devoured. She pulls you into the world by updating you on previous characters and couples lives who you have grown to love if you are a follower of this series. The world of Wicked Lovers comes alive as she keeps all the amazing characters to life by showing you how their lives have changed and progressed since last reading about them. This book is thrilling and you FINALLY get to meet the elusive Joaquin Munoz and introduced to Baily Benson a beautiful ballerina who captivates your heart with her strength, her courage, her talent and her beauty.

Joaquin has a good heart but starts out on the wrong foot with Bailey. To save her life and keep everyone they know that is involved safe is an adventure and page turner in itself. You can’t help but want to throttle Joaquin and tell him what an idiot he is and several times I had odd looks from friends or family as I am griping about how Joaquin is being an idiot. I did not feel like I was reading this book I felt like I was in the world of the Wicked Lovers and couldn’t stop reading because I had to know what was going to happen. I loved that the Club Dominion and the characters from there are back and you are also included in how they have been doing and what is in store for them as well.

I was completely absorbed by this book it was so well written that I cried, laughed and shared in the happiness of the characters as well as their fears. I would sometimes even forget that I was reading a fictional book and was feared for those that I loved. This book has a great plot that continues to unravel and engage you. The only complaint that I can say is that I was sad when I finished the book. I wasn’t ready to leave the Wicked Lovers world that Shayla Black has so vividly brought to life!

Just about the worst book I've read this year. I'm on the wait list for 8 books so I figured I would pick something immediately available in the meantime... Omg! Just so bad.... Erotica scenes don't even redeem it

A story of one man who has gone through life without anyone to care for. A story of one woman who has lost everyone she ever cared for. The two of them come together to both heal and help each other, and while their meeting is certainly not the best kind, in the end it made them closer.

Bailey has no one around her that is family. Having lost her parents a few years back, she focuses on her dancing, the one thing that centers her. Having the same nightmare every night since she was five, she didn’t think anything of it as both her parents and her shrink told her it was just her imagination. It isn’t until she’s forced to realize that she’s not who she thought she was, that these nightmares become memories. While everything she thought she knew is up for question, she begins to feel for her captor much more then she thinks is possible. As a woman going through a traumatic event, I thought Bailey held up incredibly well through pressure and emotional strain. She still questioned everything, fought for her rights, and for what was right.

Joaquin has been a ghost of a man for many years. After suffering loss at a young age, he’s cut himself from everyone around him. Upon hearing of the brutal murders, he enlists some familiar faces to try to protect who they can. He comes across Bailey, a beautiful Ballerina, who utterly captivates him. It’s when he’s around her that he has this strong feeling that she’s something important. And inside Dominion’s walls, he begins to learn who he is sexually. He’ll find his heart and his strength within those walls, and it’s with Bailey’s help that he does.

Two people who have one thing in common find a way to capture passion and romance with each other. I did not connect with Joaquin as much as I should have, and while I loved his finding of his true self, I found it difficult to really care for him as is my normal of Ms. Black’s characters. The story was still passionate with mystery and moments of suspense, and the flow of the writing was incredibly easy to get into. I’m not quite sure what it was about him that threw me off, or if it was simply just me having a bad reading day, but I still enjoyed their story, and seeing past characters play roles. I look forward to more in this series as the love I have for these characters and this series will only grow.

This was a great story it really felt like the perfect companion novel to the last book. The way it woven in was great. I wasn’t sure if I liked Joaquin but he grew on me.
Bailey is an interesting heroine, I thought for sure she was going to fight more but it was as if she knew she was going to be going on the adventure of her life.

Joaquin had a lot of learning to do in this book as well and I think he really became the man he always wanted to be.

LOVED the narration I have been wanting a full length novel by Christian Fox and we finally got it!
