Peripheral Fear: Transformations of the Gothic in Canadian and Australian Fiction by Gerry Turcotte
mw2k's review against another edition
4.0
An excellent resource into colonial and post-colonial Gothic literature in Australia and Canada. Goes into depth on the subject, with excellent and varied sources and further reading options. For those interested in this field of fiction, this is an invaluable resource and I recommend tracking it down for your professional library. Why not five stars? Well, let's face it - it's a recondite subject at the best of times and will only appeal to those with a vested interest. Anyone else is likely to find it a turgid read.
