OK so the sex was hot, and I really liked Aaron except for the fact that he let everyone walk all over him with his inability to say no. I hated Zach at first. I understand why he was being an a$$hole, thinking his family hated him cuz he's gay, but I hated how he treated Aaron when Aaron had been nothing but nice to him, his brother and Kim too. I originally liked Dean and Kim for not going along with the family and being awful to Zach because he's gay, but after reading so many scenes where Aaron was helping take care of their kids while Dean stuffed his face or read the newspaper or whatever, I really had enough of them. I'm not saying postpartum depression isn't awful, but you have to get back on your own two feet at some point, and Kim did have Dean. So I'm just wondering why Kim's feeding one kid or making a plate for one kid while Aaron's feeding the other two and making their plates while Dean just seems to ignore everything going on around him. I wish Zach would have pushed the issue further with his family. I know once Zach moved home Dean and Kim seemed to not be as needy, but I'm still annoyed that Aaron and Zach let it go. And really... Kim wants to be a stay at home mom, when she can't cook or do anything with Aaron?! My only other issue is that the book seemed overly long. I think had Aaron and Zach's little fights about money, moving in together, being in a monogamous relationship, etc. not been spaced so far apart, the book could have been shorter, and it would have been better for me. I kept on reading, wondering what the big drama was going to be and when was it going to come, but it didn't. It was just their little fights spattered throughout the book.

I didn't want this one to end either, just like "Home Again" (Make sure you read it first).. "He Completes Me" was another sweet sweet story. Aaron was such a sweetheart he was perfect for Zach! This book had me smiling and cracking up! I'm so glad there's going to be another one in the series but now I have to wait...dang:-) Loved it!!

Aaron has major instalove, Zach calls Aaron "Big Guy" a lot. There are lots of little kids. I didn't like Kimmy at all nor her and Dean's use of Aaron. Its mostly day to day life that they go through. There is no real build up to anything and so it feels like the book just ends (though it could have much sooner)
Not a fan

My notes:
* A never ending tale sensation,
* Aaron is a too good to be true guy. That's not unforgivable but I definitely prefer characters with lights, shades and shadows
* Ephemeral tension knots. A major fault. This isn't a fairy tale, any respectable fairy tale have solid tensiĆ³n and drama moments.
* The book is syrupy. It's a matter of taste obviously , I only have medium tolerance to sugary tones and I ended sickened.
* Hot sex, a bit repetitive.
* Zach's snarky voice as narrator is the best of the story.
* Where are the animals? Aaron and Kim are vets, so I repeat, where are the animals? Not one pet so far., not even a turtle. Big slip, from the author and from the editor.

My opinions were ambivalent during reading but in the end the feeling of wasting time prevail.

Ok I find this book really hard to rate. In some ways I really liked it, in other ways I wanted to throw my Kindle against the wall.
I looked at some other reviews but I didn't see that anyone else was squeaked out by Aaron's stalkerish passive aggressive behavior. True it could be said he was responding to Zach's hot/cold signals which also bugged me. The first quarter of the book it seemed Aaron was obvilious to Zach's doucheeness. Then to call the guy every night for 4 months when he never called you and to tell him I love you after every call? That just ain't right.
After just putting aside those issues I read the book for the sweet love story it's supposed to be. So it's not bad and I do care about the characters it's just...awkward in places.

When I got to the end of this one, I thought I had read them out of order. Cardeno introduces a happy couple at the end of the first book, and this book was about how that couple got together. He does the same with the next book. It was only confusing because It was only bothersome for a minute because I'm so OCD about reading books in order!
Loved this book! Zach and Aaron were amazing!

It all started with a...

Kiss would be the operative word, it their relations started with something more intimate. Their story was wonderful and I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Another one I read in the summer but didn't have the internet to connect and review.

This one has one similar issue that the first one did - the pet name thing. Hearing someone called big guy all the time as a term of affection lessens the impact of its meaning.
But, that's a minor niggle because otherwise this book is perfect holiday fluff.

Zach, who tells us the story of his romance with Aaron in the first person, is a riot. I absolutely love him, sarcastic with just the right amount of self awareness to stop it being cruel, when he meets Aaron he fights against the way he feels for a while but when he surrenders, my God do the pages heat up.

The sex in this one is awesome but also amazingly connected and emotional, it's two people coming together because they need the other one to keep on an even keel.

Now I'm off to catch up with Officer Hot Stuff and his soul mate who feature towards the end of this one.
