This was a bit of a weird one, not sure it really worked for me. Started off pretty strong with the workplace satire, but felt it lost its way a bit after that. Luckily, it was a pretty quick read that recovered things a little in the final few chapters. It was pretty funny throughout, but never compelling.

I wanted so badly to like this book, but I just couldn’t get over how uncomfortable the main character made me. We followed him as he nightlights as a knockoff Joe Goldberg, stalking a women across state lines.

Should have given up on it mid way through, but needed to know how it ends.

Surprisingly enjoyable despite the main character remaining insufferable for 95% of the book. A bit of an American Psycho-lite but without the murder, just the overblown ego and detachment from reality. The ending felt a bit trite and predictable; honestly I would have preferred
no redemption arc
