It's dark and it reminds you that this is a serious issue that is real. It was well written to get the point across but was written in a sensitive way to not glorify it. It's an emotional read, especially toward the end.

Heart wrenching, beautiful, raw and real, this book had me on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. This book deals with a lot of mature subject matter and possible triggers (just as a warning) and although some people may not like how everything goes down by the end of the book, I truly believe it was necessary for the story. Kudos to the author for writing the story as it needed to be told.

4 solid stars

OMG - This book broke me in soooo many pieces!! The ugly cry and tears that came out in front of my kids will probably require them needing therapy but it was so worth it. I waited to read this book last of all my books by T.K. Leigh as I knew it would destroy me and it did.

This is the incredible story of Cameron and Marley Bowen - twins who grew up way too fast. Marley was being abused by her mother's boyfriend until one night when Cam is able to protect her.

Unfortunately the pain doesn't end there for Marley and one night she is forced to relive her past.

This book will always be so important to me in that it really shows how important therapy is and accepting people for their faults and being understanding of people as you don't know the demons they are facing.

Absolutely incredible!!

A must read

I normally do not books that change perspective each chapter. I am glad I stuck with this one. The different sides shown in each chapter make this book what it is. Make sure you have plenty of tissues with this one. It is important to read the note from the author at the beginning.

Trigger warning for people who have been touched by rape, self harm, suicide.

A lot of feels in this book and what I like was that the focus wasn't on a typical boyfriend/girlfriend thing, it was on the relationship of two siblings and how events shaped them differently. What I will say is that in places it felt a little cheesy, I felt it needed something more to really make me relate to the characters. Over all a good story, bring your tissues!
