What I most liked about this book was the narrator, Ray Porter. I didn't really love the story or the characters.

So I started this book when it first came out. I put it down for MONTHS scared and dreading that it would be the end of the road for Gutsy, Benny, Joe Ledger, Sam, Spider, Riot, Sombra, Alethea, and company.
It seems I was right in my fears. But what I finally finished was a fast paced, dystopian thrill ride filled with zombies, reapers, "Wild Men", scientists that turned the world into a nightmare and the community ready to fight not only to survive. But to thrive in this crazy, dangerous world.
Gutsy is a great protagonist. Although the book is told from a few different pov's at times, Gutsy is the brave, smart and empathic voice we hear from the most.
Jonathan Maberry probably won't write part 3 specifically for me and me only (teehee). But hopefully we get another great series like this.

Now, if we can convince Jon to finish the tale of the girls from that school in Cali who rescued Mike Sweeney... maybe with the boys from Overdue Books and Rags....

Solid continuation. Nice evolution of the zoms and, well, related adversaries. Pretty formulaic, as the series goes, but a solid formula, with a lot of momentum.
