This is a fun, entertaining read. Richard and Amelia are interesting, relatable, complex, interesting, entertaining characters. Their romance, with its twists and turns is entertaining to read. Amelia is strong and knows what she wants. It’s fun to watch her go up against Richard 😊. The secondary characters added to the fabric of the story. The story is easy to read and get into.

Scandal always makes for a great and book and I loved this one. I was a bit worried about her wanting to trap a husband, but she was desperate and it made perfect sense at the time. Instant attraction drew them to each other, but stubbornness from both caused conflict.I loved every time the interacted because I never knew what would happen.

Amelia is a bold girl that shocked people at her father's funeral and she is not afraid to cause a scandal if it means she gets to stay in London. She loved her father but hated the rules of society and it was understandable that she wanted to dance and be herself.

Lord Goldstone had no plans of being the prey to a lady's attempt to trap him again. He kept finding himself protecting her from scandal while trying to understand her plan. I loved how he kept fighting with himself over being drawn to her, but avoiding the trap.

Her uncle was a very nice man and had good intention when he planned to take her to America. Lady Grace is definitely a friend you want to have.

This woman... Ugh.

Scandalous Endeavors: Ladies And Scoundrels, by Amanda Marie. Prepare to fall in love with a new historical romance author. Scandalous Endeavors is a sweeping love story between Amelia and Richard. Amelia character is not your typical lady who waits for her husband to find her. She went in search of him.
Richard is the normal Duke who had no thoughts of marriage until he sees Amelia at his aunts house. Sparks fly from there. The book moved rather quickly from scene to scene for me, however it did not lose me as a reader. The book held my attention from beginning to end. There was humor, charm, wit, romance and passion.
The dialogue flowed easily for each of the characters. Details of each scene was explained well for the reader bringing more to the readers imagination. I look forward to more from this writer.
I voluntary reviewed this ARC after receiving a free gifted copy.

Very quick story with little time to get to know the characters/character development. Could be better if more was added to it.

Ladies and Scoundrels 1

To avoid having to move from London to America with her guardian for the two years until she is of age, Lady Amelia connives to stay for two months. If she's lucky, she will be able to trap a husband during that time and never have to move.

I wanted to love this. It is a period that I love, the premise was intriguing, but it just didn't work for me. The vibe was Young Adult / Teen, not a bad thing. But Lady Amelia just turned me off. She's self-centered, selfish, and self-absorbed. Kinda the same thing, but I liked all the selfs. Is the writing bad? No, by no means. I think there are lots of readers who would enjoy this book. But sadly, not me. 3 out of 5.

Amelia has a huge problem. Her father has just passed away and left her to the care of an Uncle. He's not the problem. The fact that he lives in America is. Amelia can not imagine life outside of her Magesty's realm. Left with only two weeks to put her affairs in order before shipping out across the pond, Amelia turns to her friends for help. The mission? She needs to get herself compromised and therefore forced into marriage, and she needs to do it quickly.

Lord Goldstone is fully aware of Amelia's plans and has no reason to interfere but finds himself meddling anyway. He's completely unsuitable to Amelia's needs, being a Scottish lord and not an English one but he does not allow that to stop him from saving Amelia from herself.

The plot of this novel was, perhaps, one that has been done before, but with good reason. It is such good fun. I don't know if or not this is Amanda Marie's first novel but it is the first one I have read and I will be looking out for more by her.

The only critique I would offer Ms. Marie is that she spend more time with the two main characters interacting. Their scenes were by far the best of the book and I, personally, found there were too few. I would have liked to see their relationship take a little longer to develop simply because I enjoyed it so much.

Cute story, a little predictable

This was a very cute story, although I did get a little irritated with the main character, Amelia. She seemed very immature for her age, and decided she would rather be deceitful and conniving than do as she was told.

I did like the other main character, Richard/Goldstone, as well as Lady Grace. Somehow I think she knew what was going to happen before Amelia and Richard.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. I am reviewing for Kylie's Fiction Addiction.

I loved the premise and the mc's. Some of the scenes felt a little random and the ending was a little too quick.
