Sarah Fine writes incredibly realistic characters who are highly complex, and there are so many details that it is quite easy to picture what is going on. Unlike the first book, this one takes place in the real world and Lela has to lead a team of the Guard as they try to hunt the Mazikin. It will be interesting to see what will happen with Lela and Malachi now, because being in the real world has complicated their relationship.

I enjoyed reading this continuation of book 1. Once again the story has captivated me! The characters are brave, loyal, and flawless. I admire each one and I am in shock at what I just finished reading. Love will always prevail! It's almost 5 a.m. and I'm tempted to start reading book 3!

High school drama...why???such great premise and atmosphere in the first book. No love triangle just 2 people getting to know each other..very disappointing. Hope the next one gets back on track.

I really enjoy this series, it's a new concept and this is a great follow-up to [b:Sanctum|1011322|Sanctum|Xavier Dorison|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1180212907s/1011322.jpg|997446]. I didn't like it as much as I liked the first book, but I usually don't like the second books in series as much as the first. I enjoyed picking up Leila's life in the "real world" and I loved the truth in the dynamics that followed. The ending was amazing, and now I can't wait for the third installment!

Ok, this series just keeps getting better and better!! Usually with the second book, you get that "okay it's going to slow down and be boring and not alot is going to happen" type of feeling. NOT with this book!! Like the first one, this second book "Fractured" was just as action packed as the first...with a lot more information as well. I kept jumping up and down in my seat repeatedly while reading this and even in the car this morning before work. I had to finish it before I went in so I think I did a little bit of speed reading there for a bit lol.

I don't like to post spoilers in my posts but believe me when I say that ya'll have to check this series out! You won't regret it at all

At around 20% I was ready to stop reading. This felt like a high school drama that was totally predictable and not even remotely unique. Then somewhere along the line it became more and more intriguing. It left me feeling like I was watching a new episode of Buffy, or something of that nature. I devoured the last 75% tonight. It was still predictable in many ways, but it definitely has me wanting to read the third book.

She's always got someone to save, hasn't she?

I'm loving this series. It's like a punch to the gut, with characters who have the bad luck that you could only possibly find in a reincarnated serial killer.

The world-building is brilliant, even as the author uses the real world this time round and the characters' development is a piece of art of itself. To be honest, I'm on edge waiting for the next one. If I'd known it would end the way it did, I would have waited to have the last book published! Praise to Sarah Fine, though. She's brilliant. This series needs to be discovered by everyone!
