4.5 stars. This is a charming graphic novel set in Paris . The central characters in the book are 16 yeR old Sebastian, the prince of Belgium, and Frances a dressmaker. The story touches on family, identity and gender roles.

I had no idea what this was about when I started it—I only decided to read it because it was one of the few graphic novels my library offers as an ebook. Let me sum up my reading experience with one sentence: this was one of the cutest, supportive, entertaining, and refreshing reads I’ve come across this year!

If you’re looking for a fun read that explores gender roles and identity, this one’s a great one.
