I didn’t like Toph’s students, but I liked Chong and Toph’s conversation/the moral of the story.

I loved the point with, if you start doing something you love for money, then you won't enjoy it as much anymore. If you craft a lot of people will tell you, to start selling your finished products, but they don't understand that you will get burned out and not enjoy your hobbies anymore. i still liked how the music group stopped performing for money amd that toph could find a way to still enjoy teaching at the academy

This edition is a short story about a day in Sifu Toph's life. It happens somewhere after "The Promise" story arc.
Toph seems to have achieved it all in her school for young talents, but it feels like something is still missing. Along with her former metalbending students, an unprovable musician and some nostalgia about the harshness of her own learning, we will get to see a new way of bending being discovered and Toph might find a new and refreshed purpose for her to follow.
As a diehard Avatar fan, I am always in the mood for more background stories. This one does not disappoint and it is a great addition to the Avatar universe.
Great aesthetics, well-written dialogs and coherent character decisions make this arc a good one to keep in mind when deep diving in Aang, Korra and now Toph's amazing universe.

I appreciate Darkhorse and Edelweiss+ kindness for including me in the early release of this ARC. Although I received this material for free, the content in this review reflects the opinions of my own.

The dialogue felt a little off at points (mostly with Toph) and it felt like more of a middle-grade/young-adult book than previous Avatar comics, but this was another enjoyable installment in the Avatar universe.
