Very informative book. It positions itself clearly in relation to marxist theory and foucauldian theory, and gives a different interpretation of primitive accumulation before and during capitalism, by looking through the lens of the witch hunts and reproductive labour. It offers insights and sources to a lot of work on witchcraft, and reflects eloquently around these. After one read through, I wish it had more. The last chapter feels like an abrupt and unsubstantial place to end the book, BUT seeing as this book is already quite dated, it makes sense that the author did not draw lines further, and it is generally an interesting read that will almost 100% change your outlook on women's resistance and the importance of community. (I am trying to write book reviews for academic books, it is hard)
