This book was so cute and funny but the plot twist near the end was unnecessary :<< I still enjoyed it tho.

3.5 stars. The female protagonist was a little bit over the top in the beginning-which pulled me out of the story a few times wondering if such a person could exist - but overall she was a very fun character. The ending was fun too and surprised me!

January 2022 reread
Oh the ways I completely adore Josh and Hazel and all their shenanigans. This is such a comfort book, reading this is like getting a big warm hug. I love how well we get to watch their relationship blossom from friends to best friends to lovers. There’s absolutely nothing I’d want to change in this book.

My absolute favorite Christina Lauren book! I think this my third reread of it, and it still holds up. It’s a very quick, light read but I adore Hazel and Josh so much! She’s so freaking quirky but Josh is the kind of guy that takes all her quirks perfectly in stride. There’s just the right amount of goofiness in this book, with the double dates that Josh and Hazel go on are hilarious. Just overall a really good, cute read!

⭐️⭐️⭐️

When I was laughing out loud at 3% of the way in, I thought I was onto a winner. Don’t get me wrong, it was an ok-ish book but I just didn’t love it. It all felt very same-y and repetitive the whole way through and I got bored. I’m glad it was a short book otherwise I would have DNF’d. I wasn’t overly keen on the FMC or the MMC. Hazel is annoying and the Hazel-y moments are too much. The humour in this book is the only reason is getting three stars.

Let’s just say even if I wanted to just let go and enjoy the humor I couldn’t because everything about it was extremely ridiculous and completely detached from reality that I could barely keep on reading.

Such a quick read. This may be one of my favorite Christina Lauren books.
