I really enjoyed bell hooks' insights and her her compelling arguments for the role of love in our lives and the need to recenter the importance of communion among women. I was affirmed in insights that I have had and experienced new ones. There are aspects of my relationships, both with myself and with others, that I have been ignoring. bell hooks calls on us to be courageous in looking inward to make necessary change and to do the work of love and communion in the world to move toward equality.
