Nice history. Don’t want it to repeat but it will.

Although I listened to the audio book, I want3d to review this book as one that I think is important, for us all to read. Whilst concentrating on US actions, progress and then inaction, it increased my understanding of climate change and the economic, political and science actions that have preceeded where we are now. It's a book that I'll recommend to friends and colleagues.

Yes, it is as bleak and disappointing as it sounds (of course, that's not why I gave it 2/5, haha; 2/5 means "it was ok"!). Although the persons and the action are overwhelmingly US-centric - sometimes it felt like reading a political thriller - it illuminated this period of environmentalism and climate science for me. It kind of filled out the timeline for me, between the early environmentalism of Rachel Carson (Silent Spring, 1962) and what has happened in my lifetime and the Climate Justice (Mary Robinson, 2018) approach.
