This was such a great thriller!!!

Millie is recently released from a 10-year stint in prison and looking for work. She manages, with lots of luck and charm, to get a position as a live-in housemaid for the Winchesters, Andrew and Nina and their little girl, Cecelia. As she begins to settle into the new position, she realizes everything is not quite what it seems; Nina changes her mind at the drop of a hat and seems bent on making Millie’s life a living hell, while Andrew is too devastatingly handsome and kind to be with someone so deranged. Millie learns more and more about their secrets as they learn of hers and the plot THICKENS.

This was a WILD ride. I did not like any of the characters, but that did not stop me from being so invested in the storyline!!! They are all a little odd, but in a fun, ‘how did they get that messed up?’ Sort of way. I love a psychological thriller where I am not sure who I should be rooting for or against.

I truly was impressed by the plot twists and turns, as I thought I’d heard/seen it all by now. The unhinged acts that the characters in this book did?! I will never forget! I will have to read the next two books in this series soon!

I gave this 4.25 stars. The only things that lowered the star count for me were the more simplistic writing and the lack of plausibility near the end. Overall, a chefs kiss of a novel!

“I’ll let you out, but not yet.”

“Did you really think it would be that easy, Nina?
Come on. Up you go to the attic.”
