I like the story. I think I’ll always be a sucker for love stories but I think I am slowly outgrowing them. The storyline is good however the unfolding of events was too slow for my taste.

Okay, first let me preface, if you’re a fan of the rest of Nicholas Sparks’ books, then you’ll love this. I liked the concept of the book but just got SOO hung up on falling in love in literally 3 days that I just cannot give it over 2 stars. Definitely some tear jerking sad moments and amazing quotable moments, but this book just wasn’t what my current mood was asking for.

Also, I 100% thought this book was based on real people until I read the authors note at the back of the book. Please tell me I’m not the only one!!

Plot: Two people meet on a beach and spend a magical weekend together. The rest of the story follows their lives over the next 25+ years and their quests to find love (and each other) again.

Nicholas Sparks is one of my favorite Authors and I always track when new books are coming out by him and I always can't wait to read it! This book was no exception I was really excited to read it. That being said I did not love this book. His last two, See me and Step by Step I thought were great this i thought was just good. I was not excited to listen every day as I had the audio book as I traveled a lot this past month. The story was good but not great and not much really happens which is why this is a three star book for me. It is however a quick and easy read and follows along with his usual romance theme that we all love.

Why do I keep reading Nicholas Sparks books? I would say just to keep making fun of them with my fiancé but that’s not even true because I know I’d read it anyway. What is wrong with me?

Girl you are not in love with this man after 4 days, sorry. Same with Tru. Nick Sparks at least gives his other characters like 3-4 weeks before they’re like “omg I’m in love with them.”
Also the whole “I found this story and found the writer to turn into a novel with his permission” then “jk that didn’t happen I just said that to make it feel more authentic”
Huh??
