I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have to Kill You by Ally Carter

I'm not sure what I expected with this book, but I REALLY enjoyed it! It was a pretty quick and very fun read. I loved Ally Carters Heist Society, but was wary of this series because it didn't sound anywhere near as good. Well I was wrong! Though I don't love it as much as Heist Society (it is pretty hard to compete with) I still did love it. Will have to get my hands on the second one in the series now!

I read this book as an adult, and I see lots of value for young readers. It shows characters that are enjoying learning lots of interesting things about the worlds. In between the spy-centric classes of P&E and Covert Ops, you have students genuinely excited about science, math, and languages. The main characters also talk a lot about age-appropriate worries such as the very early stages of crushes and navigating relationships, worrying about letting parents down, and dealing with family loss.

That said, this book really stays in that younger demographic for writing, plot development, and pacing. I will re-read it on occasion, but I re-read this one primarily to get into some of the more significant plot later in the series.

In school I actually started with the second book in the Series so when I found out I was reading them out of order I went back and very quickly started the beginning of the series.

This was really cute! Surprisingly a tween/teen girl series I didn't read in middle school, but a lot of people recommend it and it didn't disappoint. A great set up for a little series and I can't wait to see where it goes next! I love girls who kick ass!!

Crying Score: nope

I really enjoyed this book. Some of the ideas of being so smart they should be a university level was a bit far fetched but its kinda like a dream to be that good ! The series gets even better I wish I could read faster. I recommend it to any one who likes spies or girls who kick but!

This was a fun adventure with a little love story mixed in. I think the rest of the series holds great potential.
