“He’d say you have to have the clouds, the overcast days, to catch the biggest fish. You don’t catch anything on sunny days”

This was the perfect small town romance.

I’ve never read anything by Tia Louise before (and now I’m not so sure why it’s taken me so long?) but I loved her writing style and how bingeable this book was.

Themes: nanny romance, fake dating, he falls first, billionaire MMC, close proximity, single dad. What’s not to love from all that?

Alex is a swoon worthy main character, he’s grumpy but is a real softie at heart and the love he has for his daughter Pinky and the relationship he has with her was the cutest thing to read and seeing the way that Cass’ relationship developed with Pinky and how close of a bond they had made my heart melt.

Cass is at a cross roads in life and as a main character felt very relatable to me which I think made me enjoy the book that extra bit more.

I am now counting down the days until the third book in this series and off to binge read the first one, Tia Louise has me captivated by this world!

A Little Twist is the second book in the Be Still series, featuring a steamy, single dad/nanny romance with a fake engagement twist for Alex and Cass. Cass and Alex have had a weird connection since they were in their early teens. Nothing developed beyond their initial spark, but feelings were there. So when Cass’ jerk face ex made an assumption about her being with Alex, she didn’t correct him, and Alex being the gem that he is went along. So now she’s fake engaged to the guy who hired her as a nanny, who she also has feelings for. Will Cass finally move beyond the hurts of her childhood and realize her worth? Will their arrangement lead to real love or is heartbreak on the horizon?

I was so excited to jump back into this series!! Once again, the world building is excellent, with phenomenal characters that are relatable through authentic emotions, so much witty banter, and the friendships that foster that found family vibe that I adore! Alex and Cass were literally made for each other. I liked the fact that the drama wasn’t really within their relationship, but swirling outside and having some affect. The chemistry between them was really well developed and felt organic for them, even as they set 5-alarm fires!

This book was such a cute read!! Bit of fake dating, but of single dad and nanny. Amazing ☺️

Cass has had a series of different jobs and is trying to find what she wants to do. She sees her ex at her bestfriend’s wedding and let’s him assume she’s with a handsome guy who happens to be a big name in the town.

Alex owns the distillery in the town and is also a big name (family name). He has the cutest little 4-year old daughter called Penelope (pinky).

I love them

I knew I was going to love this book as much as I loved the first one in this series. I mean I love anything Tia Louise writes.

I knew I was going to fall deep in love with Alex it was a coming from book one. He so kind a perfect. His patience got him where he wanted to be first with the bourbon and then with the love of his life Cass. They both went through a lot of they were each other's missing piece. There's so much to enjoy in this book you can just put it down once you start reading it.

Cass didn't have an easy life but yet she survived everything she was put through. Cass was dreamer that why loved the hardest. Two opposite people who found love after waiting for each other for a long time. There's nothing I can complain about this book it's absolutely perfect and a must read.

Alex Stone wins the award for hot, smoldering brother between his siblings, but his four year old daughter stole the entire show with her overload of cuteness.
