It's pretty amazing how actually-immersive this is given how fun and goofy the premise is. I gobbled these books up as a kid and re-reading this one as an adult, I still found myself totally swept away in the chaos.

There are some legitimately excellent, well-described, spooky scenes that are respectful and challenging to young readers and takes them seriously.

Good stuff!!

Fear Street # 82

This is absolutely as-advertised. A goofy Twilight Zone of an episode where we have Will "the Spill" Kennedy offered a chance to switch bodies with the oh-so-popular Chad Miller. If you think the following is a spoiler, perhaps you should read the title one more time.

The catch to switching bodies is, of course, that Chad Miller is an alien. From Outer Space!

The funniest aspect of all of this was how obsessed the aliens seemed to be in the pecking order of Shadyside Middle School. They were gathering data from both ends of the social spectrum with Will being at the bottom because he's an awful klutz and the top being Lance Holloway who wears sunglasses. Indoors! It might just be because Chad is named Chad, but I got some proto-Incel vibes from this book. Will seems awfully convinced of his destiny being determined by his shameful body. Is he going to grow as a person? Is he doomed to life forever alone because of his small bones? Read and find out!
