Yeah, didn't finish this one. It was too dark and deary.
Didn't like the stories that I read, or the style of the layout, or the artwork. So this had nothing going for it, in my honest opinion.
Doubt I'll bother with vol 3.

I really liked all of the stories contained in this volume with the exception of Ra's Al Gul. The Freeze one started things off in a really unique style, with introspective prose instead of a ton of dialogue. I also really loved the art for that issue. The art for the entire volume was awesome, and I liked that a different artist did each one. It was a nice change of scenery.

I actually also enjoyed the Cursed Wheel finale at the end. I think it's good we're getting some more depth to Duke's character, even though he's not my favorite.

Kresby v tomhle čísle jsou skvělé, Freeze, Poison Ivy a Mad Hatter, prostě dokonalé. Příběhy jako by na sebe moc nenavazovaly, ale ve výsledku to všechno dává smysl. V první části je Batman ve zmrzlé krajině, kde se Freeze chystá vypustit z ledu zákeřnou bakterii. Pak se ocitne na poušti, kde hledá pomoc od Poison Ivy, která tam jezdí pravidelně provádět svůj výzkum. A najednou je kdesi v lese, kde Mad Hatter nachystal své představení, které má spoustu účinkujících. A je pořádně ujeté. Co je pravda a co ne? A nakonec najdeme zakončení prokletého kruhu, kde jde hlavně o budoucnost Duka.

Interlinked villain stories, all of which work better than I would have supposed, wrapped within varying artwork and solid pacing. You may feel dropped in the midst, but hold on, this one's worth it.
