The original picture book is fantastic and the board book version translates very well. The colors and text do not change from the original, so it is bright and bold throughout the entire book. It is very exciting to have this story as a board book!

This book is okay. It wasn’t as good as I felt like it could have been.
The sentences are short, and simple which is good for younger kids, but it honestly was difficult to read this book. The sentences just jumped around, and then chicken would chime in with “turnip” in the middle of sentences, but there was no flow.
This book isn’t educational, or interactive either, so that just bumped this book down even more.
I still gave it 3 stars because my daughter doesn’t really pay attention to how a book flows, or how the sentences are structured right now, so she still enjoyed it okay.

Cute, very cute. But lacking the dramatic potential of [b:The Doghouse|282082|Skippyjon Jones in the Doghouse (Skippyjon Jones, #2)|Judy Schachner|http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/5105TZF0XHL._SL75_.jpg|649853]. They enjoyed it a lot at story time, however--apparently we had very few turnip fans attending today!
