uuuuuuuuuugh
i thought that one line "i would die for her" was so funny and it like hooked me. but i fell off the hook. couldn't believe how little of the book i'd gotten through. hated the monkeybot character. didn't enjoy existing in a dystopian universe so much like my own.

I'm about 100 pages in, and I hate the stupid monkey robot thing Bador. Maybe it will get better but I'm about 50 pages from throwing the book at the wall and giving up on it.

I gave up. I really had high hopes for this book, but it didn't work for me AT ALL.

aw man, i was really looking forward to this and i waited so long for a copy to become available at the library. it's supposed to be a scifi rendition of aladdin. 
it's just... not engaging. i can't tell you what's happening. i read the blurb of the book, but it's totally disconnected from what's actually going on in the text. i think it just really badly needs an editor...

omg how was this So Boring and also every single character was annoying ack 😣 
so many themes present that i normally love but i found myself just hating this one the further in i got oops.
