Anno Dracula 1899 and Other Stories contains lots of Newman's postmodern monster stories, alternate takes on famous movie monsters, and several of them are very good and quite funny. It also has the opening chapter of One Thousand Monsters, which is the only reason for the title, and is basically marketing.

What a cracker... filled with monsters galore loved it... especially the short stories of famous heroes (with a twist) and comic characters turning up.

Short stories, some old some relatively new, some of the old ones haven't been in collections before, so that's nice. I always enjoy Newman's sharp clever tales, and this is a nice selection.
