I think we really enjoyed this book because it was our family, down to the size and love of nature. It is something we would do and enjoy. I am pretty sure that is a large part of why we all loved it.

The text in combination with the expressions and actions of the individual family members make this title really quite cute.

I really freaking loved this book. Easily a good story with really great illustrations about a family going out for a day by the water. The illustrations though really were perfect.

This is a cute book about a family going on a day hike. It includes a surly teenager and messy dog. Lovely!

Cute story of a family fun day. Mostly told in rhyme, which makes the few phrase without rhymes stand out-not necessarily in a good way. I was distracted. The rhyming issue put the story at a 3 instead of a 4.

A fun ode to a family's day in the woods. Some of the rhymes were a stretch, which threw off the rhythm of the read aloud.
