3,5 stars just for Sweet Enchantment by Anya Bast

I read Sweet Enchantment because I plan to read Dark Magick series by same author and hear this novella is the prequel.

Bella Rhiannon Caliste Mac Lyr (really long name!) a noble at Seelie Court, descendant of Tuatha de Danann, want to free her ex lover, Ronan Achaius Quinn, with propose marriage to him, to save Ronan from the Queen of Summer's wrath because Ronan try to help The Phaendir, their enemy. Bella still can't forget how Ronan had broke her heart and humiliated herself in front of all entire Seelie Court. Little she know, Ronan do it because he doesn't want The Queen to cast Bella out from the court. Ronan is Unseelie, or dark Fae, but have a permit from the Queen to become Seelie Mage. So, if he unite himself with Bella, who have a Unseelie blood too,a dark secret whose she keep tightly, they don't have a future together.

Ronan then find a way to help himself, because he have something precious which The Queen want to possess, to free them from The Phaendir imprisonment. But to do that, he must escape, and approach Bella, to make her to love him again, because Bella is his soulmate. Can Bella forgive Ronan? What future they have if the Queen know about their escape?

For novella, even its to short, I enjoy reading it. I love the new way of fae and Irish mythology, and Ms Bast can described the world building without make reader overwhelmed. The ending will make reader satisfied, even its really bittersweet. And you will get a brief appearance of Aislinn, the hero of [b:Wicked Enchantment|6568819|Wicked Enchantment (Dark Magick, #1)|Anya Bast|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1265439998s/6568819.jpg|6761829].

Will plan read another story at this anthology in the future

I only read A Little Night Magic by Allyson James. It was good but it was one of those you wish was longer or needed a bit more filling out. I'm starting her Stormwalker series and this is the prequel.

2.5 stars. None of the stories were terrible, but none of them were really good either. I also struggled with how much this didn't seem like what the cover suggested it would be, but maybe that's just me.

This review is only for the Allyson James' story. I think James does stories where the leads already know each other/have a past really well, and this story is no exception. I liked the leads, Julie, and Coyote. And I now feel ready to read Stormwalker.

Mixed on this one. Originally got it for the Angela Knight novella. It was ok, but I really liked the Allyson James story and the others better.

I've since read all the Allyson James Stormwalker books as well.

I enjoyed all four stories, I'm a fan of Lora Leigh's Breed series. Now I've found some new series written by Angela Knight, Anya Bast, Allyson James that I'd like to read more of.

24/12 - The best story in the book was definitely Leigh's A Christmas Kiss, possibly because it made the most sense to me as I had already read a few books from the Breeds series. I better understood the world and even recognised a few of the couples from the books I'd previously read. The other story I really liked was Knight's Vampire's Ball. Kat and Ridge were fun together and I would read more from Knight's Mageverse series. Vampire's Ball was a good teaser for the full series.

So far I've only read the Breeds novella in this anthology, so this review is only for that.
This wasn't my favorite of the Breeds books. I get that it had to be short to be in a novella, but I felt it was a little too rushed. Thankfully, we already had a little back story from a previous book in the series, but I would have liked some more development into Hawke and Jessica's characters. That being said, I think the story was good within those limitations. I could have seen this easily filling a whole book instead.
