Has some interesting ideas, but is mainly geared to starting zinesters and some of the content is dated.

I love the layout of this book - and the info contained inside. Gave me some great inspiration.

The content was good, and this book definitely encapsulates the zine feel, but the collage elements sometimes made it hard to read/understand

This book made me want to make a zine immediately! Such creativity, such a load of information, and there's instructions for silk screening! How nifty is that?

An amazing resource / motivation for starting a zine. Suggestions are given for zine topics, printing and binding techniques, and distribution. Wish there was a little more in terms of online resources (but I also recognize that it may be a conscious choice to leave this out).
This book is in my library's Juvenile nonfiction section, but it is more targeted toward adults. (All language is appropriate for children, but the details/depth of some topics, including copying and binding, might be too complicated for very young children.)

Huh. Interesting reviews. I didn't notice a bias toward comics at all--maybe because I'm a comics glutton? I thought this was a really fun intro to zines and minicomics, very encouraging. I loved the look of each page and the mix of formats. I can see re-reading for inspiration.

I think this book would be helpful for people who have no experience with zines, but I feel like it struggled on two polar opposites of either being way too beginner or going in too deep with the ins and outs of screenprinting on a two page spread. It's certainly given me some inspiration, though!
