Lora Leigh has done it again. She can suck you in from the beginning and keep you questioning what's going to happen next. Amara is the protected daughter of a somewhat shady businessman. But when she is kidnapped her entire world changes. She has no memory of the year prior to her kidnapping, which includes meeting and falling for Riordan. They both have healing to do and then it's time to get back what he's lost. Cause Riordan isn't the kind of man to walk away from the best thing that's happened to him. And finding out who was behind Amara's kidnapping and helping her get her lost memories are his to priority.

Collision Point is a bodyguard romantic suspense that will keep you on the edge of your seat. There are twists and turns you don’t see coming. I totally enjoyed.

I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. It grabbed from the start right through to the end. Great story! Great new author for me to add to my list.

I have read just about all of Lora Leigh's Breeds series and was super excited to read this latest series. I'm sad to say, though, that I was a bit underwhelmed. What I loved about this title was the passion that Leigh is notorious for -- Rory and Amara's chemistry is hot enough to set the pages on fire. The feelings they share for one another are deeper than most people could imagine, partly due to the hint of supernatural with the "Malone" connection which basically gives the Malone men the ability to feel the pain and experience the dreams of the woman they each give their heart, soul, and mind.

What I didn't love about Collision Point was feeling like I didn't have all of the background information, even though it was the first in the Brute Force series. I also was wondering what happened to the Malone grandfather -- for the first half of the story, he's an important secondary character but then he disappears from the story never to be mentioned again. There was specific mention of how he insisted on tagging along for this "mission" despite Rory's objections, and he has a scene with Amara that is incredibly sweet and personal, only to then walk into his bedroom and we don't hear or see him for the rest of the book. I missed him - he was a great character. I also felt like the "bad guy" came out of nowhere. This is a bit distracting for readers who are trying to suspend their disbelief.

That said, I thought the chemistry between the main characters was on-point and the story had just enough action to keep you interested. I will look for the second in the series once it comes out, however I do hope that there are a few less plot holes moving forward.

I really like Lora Leigh, which is why I gave this book three stars. Plus when I saw it was about Rory Malone; I was excited to read it. I enjoyed the book that featured his brother Nathan aka Noah Blake.

However...that is all I can really recommend. I didn't enjoy it all that much. Lora Leigh writes some great scenes and makes some pretty good characters, but I was rolling my eyes right from the start of the book. All that flowery description right in the middle of blood and kidnapping was too much for me I guess. I don't know. I do know that I prefer her Breed series and her other books to this.

Thanks netgalley for a great book! What a lazy and stimulating Sunday read. A reckless love between a bodyguard and a woman being protected is always a good time. Riordan and Amara are lost in a tug of war of remembering what happened during a year Amara lost her memory. A brutal kidnapping, death, betrayal, and a conniving father, yes this book entertains well. Sexy and intense scenes between and alpha male and his true love is definitely between the pages as well. What more could you ask for in a book? Thank you for allowing me to read it.

I really wanted to like this book more than I did. I tried to love it, I tried to really get into it, but at the end, I just found myself a little disappointed.

If you've read the Tempting SEALs series, you've already met Amara. Not that she herself was a part of them, but that she has Kira's black hair and gray eyes and Emily's personality and memory issues. Ivan, her father, reads almost exactly like Emily's father in that he spoils the ever-loving shit out of his daughter and tries to manipulate her life by hand-picking who he wants to be her lover. Now, I absolutely loved Emily's book, Hidden Agendas, so rereading parts of it here wasn't really what I wanted.

Riordan is the typical Leigh hero and I don't know, something about him didn't captivate me like some of her other heroes did. I think it was the repetition of Irish Eyes along with his internal struggle with Amara. He wanted her to remember, but he couldn't push those memories onto her. And when she did finally remember, I kept waiting for her confrontation with her father over what he kept from her and it never happened.

I liked the supporting cast in this one. I haven't read Noah's book yet or know Micah very well, but I liked their involvement with this story. Ivan both frustrated me and endeared me -- funny enough, it was when his actions were that of a man instead of a father that endeared me. His actions as a father, not so much. Overall, I think I would have loved this book had it been the first I read from Leigh. Now, I see a lot of returning tropes used again when I would have rather read something entirely new.

This was a good story. That had a bit of mystery, and a touch of suspense. Not to mention a group of likable characters.

However, I did struggle to begin with and I found it a little hard to get into. Mainly because I did feel like there was some sort of back story to this book that I wasn't aware of. And so, especially in the first few chapters I felt like I was maybe missing something. But once I got into it, I found it enjoyable to read and there were large parts that really drew me in.

Yet, I didn't connect so much with the romance element, and to be honest, I found parts of it a little unbelievable.

But overall I thought it was a good read and there was certainly more I liked than I didn't.

And I'm sure anyone who is a fan of Lora Leigh or her romantic suspense series, such as Elite Ops. Will I'm sure enjoy this book.
