A cute introduction into evolution and how things change over time through the use of human and wolf interactions and how wolves evolved into the pets that we have today. The pictures were really engaging and colorful while showing what life possibly looked like during the ice age and such. I kinda liked that the people in the books reminded me of the peanuts characters, which are a personal favorite.

Thank you to Macmillan Children's Publishing Group, FierceReads, and the wonderful people behind the YA, Children's, and Middle-Grade Bloggers for gifting me this e-arc for review.

Being someone that has multiple dogs as pets and loves them, this was great! I loved how they centered this story more around children building up the relationship with the wolves rather than adult humans domesticating them. It made the relationship between them feel more realistic. Children tend to build a relationship faster and I really enjoyed seeing that. I can imagine a child becoming friends with a dog and then gradually getting their parents on board which would then eventually, have a dog around all the time. A cute book for kids before getting a pet dog.
