what a masterclass in unreliable narration! very raw, sticky prose. deeply involved character work. incredibly vivid imagery.

So, Mostly Dead Things was just alright. This was a slow read for me because it was just so much of the same...memories, taxidermy, memories, taxidermy. I liked the writing, and it was definitely a break from the norm, but I just didn’t love this book.
