2.5 / 3 stars? I'm on the fence...

Absolutely the most "Hallmark Christmas movie" book I have ever read. Features a snowy picturesque town with a dubiously saccharine name and a frankly unbelievable distance of "a few hours from LA." RIGHT. You'll also find twins, lots of baking, reality TV, wholesome romance all dusted with Christmas magic, of course. Obviously, I am too snarky for this one, but it is pretty good for what it is. Which is a super tidy, magical and happy la la land.

This was a lot of fun. Not steamy, but loved the romance aspects and the swap story line is always fun. I'm usually skeptical of the swap, but this was really well done because the author didn't make the characters polar opposites trying to take over each others's lives. I loved both sisters equally and also enjoyed both the cooking show aspect and running the bakery (though I was a bit more invested in the bakery than the show). Though a bit of the culinary show part got a tad repetitive. Overall so much fun and I absolutely loved how the reveal, resolution happened and the entire ending!

Cute! Perfect holiday read. I loved the sisters even though they were scatterbrained and acted like they both had a concussion.

Okay. I LOVE a seasonal/holiday rom com but this wasn’t one I’ll read again. I realized half way through that I was struggling because it’s based on miscommunication (my least favorite trope). It’s also, though, just too much. They have twin powers but not twin powers. They want to swap but didn’t realize how out of touch they really are with each other. They’re Geminis (come. on. Too much). And it ends with a surprise wedding and a baby? Too perfect. Cute, but I laughed at it more than with it toward the end

I wanted to love this, but it just didn’t do it for me. The writing felt boring, and I found myself wishing the book was over.

Someone said in a review that this was like Gilmore Girls and the Great British Baking show had a christmas baby. And those are three of my favorite thing and it def met my expectations. Cute, sweet, to the point. Closed door romance, about twins at christmas, how can you go wrong with it? Add in a hot fireman, hot doctor and an adorable cat this was the perfect cozy december read!!
