How? How do I move on?
I think this sequel was just as good, perhaps even better than the first book. Giving the reader another blossoming relationship to witness instead of breakups or fallouts was what made this story perfection. The comic relief came at the best times when it was so intense you laughed going mad with the lot of them. And that secret sauce of making me care about everyone because they all had strong main character vibes.
Unraveling the mystery and understanding how in depth everything connected was so out of this world. I’m still haunted by the epilogue it tugs at my heartstrings. This duology will forever be on my mind. I’ll never look at trees the same.
If you can have me forgetting what page I’m on, you are an auto-buy author my friend. I can’t wait to read more from Gillig.

GUYS!!! This book!!!!
I loved this book from start to finish, it was such a great conclusion to the biology, I’ve never read a book so fast.
It was really great being in the mind of the Nightmare and finding out who he is and why he is the way he is!
Elspeth and a character is great but my favourite person in this book has to be Elm, the character growth and development he goes through is amazing.
The romance in this book is so sweet and it was nice to read.
Trying to review this with no spoilers but honestly it was such an amazing book and 5stars for this book and this whole duology.
All that to say, read this book!!
